Our pelvic floor is the base of our pelvis, it acts like a hammock to support and hold our pelvic organs (Bladder, Uterus & Bowel) up against gravity. Further it helps to keep as continent (not leaking).


When our pelvic floor muscles are functioning optimally we can run, skip, laugh and sneeze without any leaking or feeling of heaviness around the vagina opening.

Just like any other muscle within the body, our pelvic floor muscles may be too tight, too long, too weak or too strong which can affect the pelvic floor function.
